Georgia Tech Debate 2011

On March 10th, 2011, Fr. Tad participated in a debate with James Shepherd on the ethics of stem cell research at The Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia. Mr. Shepherd is the co-founder of the Shepherd Center, which has garnered international recognition for the treatment of spinal cord injury, brain injury and multiple sclerosis (see shepherd.org/about/history-and-mission). In a classroom filled with students, graduate students and faculty, the structured and energetic exchange lasted for one hour, with Dr. Aaron Levine, assistant professor in the School of Public Policy, serving as moderator and timekeeper.
